Creation of Manufacture des Alpes Françaises in Grenoble (Isère) ; the company employed 4 people at the time.

1955

Site was set up in Chimilin (Isère). At that time MAF customers were the Navy,both military and merchant.

1960

MAF opened itself up to the automobile markets thanks to the creation of new products such as the C22, C800 and K800 switches.

1967

Signature of the first contract in the Railway Market. Number of staff: 91

1968

MAF Plastique was created.

1972

First sub-contract with OTIS.

1977

Number of staff :117.

1987

Number of  staff :161

1988

Takeover by R Brun. MAF ELEC was created.

1992

First European range of buttons and indicators for OTIS.

1996

Extension of the Headquarters.

1998

Takeover by Schneider group.

2000

Worldwide contract with OTIS.

2001

Collaboration with Crouzet automation.

2002

Reconstruction of the new production plant.

2006

Takeover by GET Mafelec became independant.

2007

Creation of the Swiss subsidiary MAFELEC GmbH.

2009

Integration of the subsidiaries STOPCIRCUIT and PETERCEM.

2015

In over 60 years, MAFELEC has been able to develop its activities on an international scale with its subsidiaries in Germany and Switzerland, and also with its distributors and its partners
